How can I make the height of the embedded window larger?
The old parameters are not working since this site has changed.

I too would like to increase the height of embedded panoramas. When I try to increase the iframe height, it just makes emty space under the panorama/snapshot container. The possibility to increase the panorama height was possible with he “old” embedding codes.

Hi, I also would like to increase the height of the embedded panoramas with the new code. The wizard gives a code that makes the gigapan really narrow, not usable.
The old code stopped working. I am getting the new one but the old height parameter is not working!
Thanks in advance.

Same problem here. The old parameters you used to add onto an embed source URL are not increasing the height of the gigapan. It’s too small to be useful.

While our tech team is working on a permanent fix for this try adjusting your embed code by the example below…

Original Embed Code:
gigapan.org/gigapans/73659/options/nosnapshots,hidetitle/iframe/flash.html" frameborder=“0” height=“400” scrolling=“no” width=“100%”>

Adjustments to height gigapan.org/gigapans/73659/options/nosnapshots,hidetitle/iframe/flash.html?height=365" frameborder=“0” height=“400” scrolling=“no” width=“100%”>

Notice the ?height= (then enter the size you wish)between flash.html and the ", this will allow you to control the height of the viewer. Also remember that the viewers height needs to be less than the iframe’s height so the image fits within the frame.

In case someone deserves praise for fixing this, thanks very much for fixing the parsing of embedding code. In the last day or two, the embedded gigapans here (http://conservation.townofsalisbury.org/panoram…) began to work again for the first time in a week or two. An example of the embedding code used there is:
“_iframe_src=”h_tp://api.gigapan.org/beta/gigapans/29395/snapshots/102242,109651,109655,102240,109653,102241/options/hidetitle/iframe/flash.html?height=275"
width=“900” height=“387” frameborder=“0” scrolling="no"></iframe"

I am glad I didn’t spend too much time trying to rewrite the code.

Thanks again!

(Is there a better way to include HTML in a post here that does not require intentional misspellings?)

I think (fingers crossed) that all of the iframe embedding formats should work at this point. You should be able to specify the height as a query string argument and have it honored by the rendered iframe.

I think it still doesn’t work like before. I I set the height parameters, it makes the framework bigger, but the height of the gigapan windows remains the same, quite small.
Thanks in advance.

It is working.

< iframe src=“h_tp://gigapan.org/gigapans/GIGAPAN_ID/options/nosnapshots,hidetitle/iframe/2.0/flash.html?height=600” frameborder=“0” height=“600” scrolling=“no” width=“100%” >

In this example, the height value is 600, no snapshots, and title is hidden. This uses the new viewer (note “/2.0/” in frame url). To use the old viewer, simply remove “/2.0”.

The height value is entered 2x:
1) flash.html?height=600 to resize the flash viewer
2) height=“600” to resize the iframe

IMPORTANT: The iframe code does not work if you load and view the webpage locally from your computer’s hard drive. The webpage must be uploaded to a server and viewed online.

Options: hidecontrols, nosnapshots, hidetitle (no spaces between options)

To find the GIGAPAN_ID, visit your GigaPan and find it at the end of the URL.

Full screen option is disabled by default when using the iframe method for embedding.

Has your tech team found out how to increase the height of the embedded panoramas? I would be happy to get a step by step info to get this problem solved. It looks so unpleasant to see this small panos.

Hello gyllander,

You and everyone are welcome to embed your panoramas using my Gigapan proxy viewer (for 3D virtual reality panoramas or flat panoramras), by placing it within an Iframe tag on your site

such as this code is:

<iframe src=‘http://www.3d-360.com/view-remote-image-in-3d-3…’ border=0 width=800 height=400 scrolling=no></iframe>

Enjoy

Jason

My Gigapan Proxy is only an internet browser enhancement, it is using the Gigapan.com resource to host your images, as well as the Gigapan.com api, so a link to them should be absolutely required in any viewer, otherwise you should host the image on your own server. Much like the way Flickr works with their images and api, a link back is required.

Jason,

It’s great to have the embedable virtual reality viewer. It’s perfect for 360 gigapans. And the full screen mode is really handy. Thanks for making all that possible.

“+”,“-” Step does not ’s smooth to co-button. Can not be trimmed for this purpose.

Best regards.

Hello Mamoru,

Thank you for your kind words. Your Panoramas are truly stunningly beautiful and technically perfect, very impressive!

I looked at your blog http://uhrp.imagefitter.com/ and discovered the problem you mention with my viewer, the onscreen controls “+” and “-” are not smooth on the ‘Flat’ panoramas (they are on the 360 degree virtual panoramas).

The problem is with the plugin that provides the controls, it is not written for flat (1 degree) panoramas so its step increments are off. I am not the author of the plugin, but the source is available, so I will take a look at modifying it and will report back here when I have success. It does currently still work, just not as well as one would like.

Best

Jason
