My Gigapan makes a groaning sound when moving from near bottom to near top (moving between columns). It doesn’t make any unusual sounds moving from shot to shot other than that. Is this normal??
I’m nowhere near the 10 lb limit and the camera load is balanced. Greg

My EpicPro does the same thing. Less than 2 weeks old.

Mine (one week old) does it also and seems to be related to the speed setting, have you set it to “fast”? Try medium or slow and see if it quits. Mine stopped after I set it to slow. (Options/Expert/Motor Speed)

That sound, which we call “gear chatter”, is normal. The gearing inside the magnesium housing creates a resonance. This does not affect the performance of the imager.
