What are the voltages and signal timings of the pins on the GigaPan Epic 100 remote trigger? |

Contrary to what’s been posted on the forum, the Epic 100 remote cord does not appear to be a standard HiTec servo connector: http://www.servocity.com/html/connector_types.html This is what it has: http://tnphoto.com/giga/GigaPlug.gif |

I guess I’m the only one replying on this topic. I put the VOM on the Canon remote cord while the GigaPan was running and this is what I got: It appears the ’Pan is sending a shoot signal and the camera interprets it as focus-and-shoot. The white wire goes to the ring at the base of the Canon plug. The red wire goes to the tip. The female jack that fits in the GigaPan is 7mm wide, 2mm tall and 15mm deep. It has a 1×1mm bump on the underside. The left and right holes are ~5mm apart. |
