|Drove up this morning and worked with Harry and Manuel to get the rain-meter software installed on their computer - and test the downloading at a couple of stations - it went really well and all is working! 121205 - Cacao and Orosi in the cloud After getting the RG3-M software going, I headed up to 1500m at the La Cima Malaise trap to get todays session underway. There was some wind and cloud - but not too much rain. 121205 - Volcan Cacao clouds 121205 - Volcan Cacao clouds The RG3-M station for this site (S/N 10236658) was installed and initiated at 12:45 local (1:45 clock). I'm really looking forward to seeing what patterns these stations yield! 121205 - Volcan Cacao Malaise and RG3-M The GigaPan today was at the same location as in February of this year - it was re-started once due to cloud and condensation and went without a hitch once going. This is the canopy immediately above the GigaPan. 121205 - Cacao 1500m canopy This cloud forest is characterised by many individuals (and species) of Adelomymrex a small ant that walks like it has a stomach ache. |Pachycondyla
