This was a handheld shot that I took quickly because the light was fading fast. I took a 3.6 gigapixel pano earlier in the day from the same spot when there was little change in the light.

Nice photo - sometimes having high megapixels is not the purpose of the shot. This shot would not have benfitted from more.
