  4. The last rays passed over the mountain as this image began. The afterglow of the now night sky bathed the basin in cold blue light.

  5. Aspen autumn colors provide brilliant contrast on the mid October day in California's Eastern Sierra. The June Lake Loop is a draw to photographers and is located just East of Yosemite.

  6. This is the LEFT half of a stereoscopic 3d panraoma taken in the Inyo National Forrest. These alpine lakes are above 10,000 feet elevation and are near tree line. The granite basin was glacially cut and many of the lakes were made our enhanced to provide water for mining operations and/or electric power.

  8. This is the east road into Yosemite and may be seen as a scratch across the hillside. You can see clear slides on the left hand side of the image.

  9. The top of that ridge is Yosemtie National Park. Not a good place for a trail over that "pass" at the top.

  10. These are the Conness Lakes in Inyo National Forest. A trail goes over the pass by Secret lake and drops down into Eastern Yosemite at Macabe Lake.
