This California State Park is a man made oasis. Stocked with 3 to 4 pound trout while we were there, and somebody's future dinners were jumping out of the wter while I shot this. Anybody can rent a fishing boat, canoe, pontoon boat, or kayak here.

This is a piece of slope on Sunol Ridge where a half a mile of slope looks like this. It is a good place to keep out of the sun and gain some elevation on the trip upwards to find the views.
