A slightly different view - Avalon Harbor, Catalina Island 4-13-12. It was a windy, blustery, rainy day and my birthday. Lighting was hard to work with due to many very dark and very bright clouds passing quickly overhead.
Catalina Island, 22 miles off the coast of Los Angeles, CA., has been a vacation spot since 1889. This day was not the best for taking photos, the wind was gusting 20-30mph and rain squalls were a constant threat. In this image you can see the famous 'Holly Hill House' (built in 1890) is under reconstruction. ©John Post
