Description

The quarry des Grands Caous is included in the scope of the classified site Estérel East by decree of January 3, 1996. This particular constraint requires the optimal integration operation in this remarkable place. We must emphasize the exceptional quality of porphyry blue, one of the PACA region, which gives a material with exceptional geotechnical characteristics for roadworks.
To minimize impacts, the operator has voluntarily limited the influence of exploitation by opting for a deepening and staying within the limits of the quarry prior to classification. The crest lines are not affected and the hollow tooth extraction minimizes the visual impact is limited to the immediate vicinity and close. Strict conditions for rehabilitation and preparation of the final development of the site have been enacted.

The excavation pit shaped receptacle for runoff from the mountains. The goal of redevelopment is to create a Water plan in the lower part of the excavation. The limits will be remodeled to restore the banks to regain a spontaneous and abundant aquatic vegetation. A hydrogeological study has determined the characteristics of the final water plan.
The water has a major interest in this xeric environment. It may be reassigned as needed, in a leisure or preserve natural role as reservoir for the fight against fire or water supply.

Wow, you are very patient and persistant. Great image quality for an almost 21 gigapixel panoramic image. Also, you chose an interesting subject.

well, i have to be honnest with you.... my pc is quite slow for this kind of job and one of my best quality is to be patient.... :-) (the stitching and rendering took 21 days....) I was looking for a slicer tool, and probably you give me a new way to search.... i will test it nearly!!!!

Wow, I was expecting a more powerful PC to render a 21 Gigapixel image... Did you use any slicer tool to split the panorama into smaller parts during the stitching process? I'm using PTGui too with a I5 and 8Gb Ram and a raid 0 and I'm also using the slicer tool dativ.at/slicer Will open in

Hi GigapanBot, thank you for your comment. Some details about the panorama: i use un gigapan epic 100 quite transform to be able to support my slr kinon D300 and the Sigme 50-500mm (as you can see on my profile's picture). i took 4196 pictures for the all and i stitch the final image with ptgui 8.3.7 PRO x64. I work on a PC Windows x64, cpu intel core 2 duo 2.4Ghz , 4Go Ram, 2To HDD. hope i have answer to your request. if you want to see more: www.roumestan-photo.com Will open in
