The view point for Castle Crag is lovely. Just far enough from the car park that you can no longer see or smell the cars, with the crags in front, shasta to the right, other ranges to the left, forest behind...crisp fall air, it was divine.

Lake Shasta Marina 1, and I5 Shasta Bridge on the right. I have crossed that bridge many times. Dozens of times in my life. But I had never stopped, exited, poked around. The key to travel, the key I always forget, is that you have to STOP.
