Cape Merry

This is the National Park that we visited. In the panorama, you can see the Arctic Ecology students learning about the history of the Cape, Fort Churchill and how the trading companies started. In the water you could see many pods of belugas surfacing. The spray and sound of their blowholes could be seen and heard from the shore. It was sunny and 30 degrees Celsius. On the rocks at Cape Merry there was an abundance of lichen on all of the rocks. Most lichen was easily over 100 years old.
