Tiny changes in the orientation of the satellite relative to the Earth may account for the other aberrations. The orbit is good, but not perfect.

I think the images in different wavelengths are taken sequentially (a bottleneck in writing data) and the clouds move between the time two images are taken. You will notice that the aberration is greater for clouds than for land.

Cool image! But what's the cause of the mis-alignment of colors? the picture would look a lot sharper if the color channels were better aligned.
