In Plaza Francia next to La Biela (next to the necropolis) is this huge rubber tree which is 20 meters high and 50 meters wide (!!!) To give you a sense of scale I've posed next to the massive tree, to the right of the main trunk.

fetching snapshots...

Cool; thank you for that story.

That's a hefty tree. My only upload here so far happens to be big trees too. After I drove my daughter to be with her husband at Camp Pendleton south of Los Angeles, I rode a train back north, and somewhere along the California coastal towns, was a fig tree with a trunk flare similar to the one in your photo. I almost missed the train while taking a quick picture. They are very interesting trees to look at.

That's huge! The only tree I've ever seen that comes close is the banyan (bodhi) tree in Lahaina, Hawaii. And that one grows additional trunks (from the branches) to support itself.

We're working as fast as we can to make it possible for you (and everyone else!) to get one...

Nice shot! I wish I had a gigapan to shoot scenes like this in Western Canada's forests. Might hafta wait for the consumer version :-(
