360° view from the Schneeberg mountain (Upper Franconia/Germany).
The buildings at the 1053m high peak are an abandoned reconaissance facility of the cold war era. The 75m tower contained antennas and electronics directed towards CSSR and GDR. Since 1992 the facility is closed. The antennas were removed and a large fraction of the facility (mainly the american part) has been dismantled, The tower has officially got the status of a historical monument, remembering the times of the cold war.A more detailed view is here: gigapan.com/gigapans/106642
