- Description
-
Low tide from the eastern most point on Folly Island, Charleston, SC. Significant beach erosion has occured with the four (so far) tropical storms that have gone by and this sand bar off the eastern tip has developed on the east end. This is a view normally only seen by boat. Many of the newer "front row" houses are being undercut and are in danger of falling into the ocean (left) and the Morris Island Light House is again surrounded by water at low tide (right). Image taken Sunday July 1, 2012.
