Taken from the roof of the Charles Darwin Research Station Invertebrate Building on June 23, 2012. Looking toward the city of Puerto Ayora and Academy Bay. Zoom lens set at 400mm (35mm equivalent is 640mm). Some atmospheric distortion is visible.
This is part of an effort to evaluate the use of high-resolution panoramic photography (HRPP) for environmental monitoring in Galapagos. This work was partially funded by Galapagos Conservancy (galapagos.org
) and is part of the GigaPan Education and Research Program.
