This is a view of Puerto Ayora, as seen from the entrance to the path to Tortuga Bay. This was taken from just in front of the entrance hut. Zoom lens set at 300mm (35mm equivalent is 480mm). Partly cloudy, so attempts were made in post-processing to normalize the differences in lighting conditions that occurred during imaging.
This is part of an effort to evaluate the use of high-resolution panoramic photography (HRPP) for environmental monitoring in Galapagos. This work was partially funded by Galapagos Conservancy (galapagos.org
) and is part of the GigaPan Education and Research Program.
