- Description
-
This is a view of Puerto Ayora, as seen from the entrance to the path to Tortuga Bay. This was taken from the balcony of the entrance hut, 6 days after the panorama taken from in front of the entrance hut. Zoom lens set at 300mm (35mm equivalent is 480mm). Partly cloudy, so attempts were made in post-processing to normalize the differences in lighting conditions that occurred during imaging.
This is part of an effort to evaluate the use of high-resolution panoramic photography (HRPP) for environmental monitoring in Galapagos. This work was partially funded by Galapagos Conservancy (galapagos.org
) and is part of the GigaPan Education and Research Program.
