Description

A low-resolution view overlooking the area of the El Chato Tortoise Reserve. This panorama was taken manually with a tripod-mounted camera. Wide-angle lens at 22mm (35mm equivalent is 35mm). Compare to the high-resolution panorama taken with the GigaPan robot.

This is part of an effort to evaluate the use of high-resolution panoramic photography (HRPP) for environmental monitoring in Galapagos. This work was partially funded by Galapagos Conservancy (galapagos.org Will open in a new tab or window) and is part of the GigaPan Education and Research Program.
