Twin Lakes Moiraine
(58.63189 -93.78816)
Today was a beautiful day. Walking the path to the top of the moiraine there was a high diversity of plant species however when moved away from the path there was not. Therefore, the quadrate was placed away from the path so that human disturbance would be less of a factor. Three new species that had not been seen before were found; northern comandra, blue-green willow, and the buffaloberry. Interestingly reindeer lichen was found within the quadrate growing on shrubs but not on the ground.
