When we first arrived at the site there was a lot of overcast and a strong cool breeze that made it very chilly. After being at the site for about an hour or, the clouds began to part and the sun came out and warmed up the air. We took an average ambient temperature reading of 15 degrees Celsius. This was the second replicate of my spider sampling in a fen environment and was 5 minutes down the road from the first site I sampled. The vegetation I sampled mainly consisted of tamarack trees, scrub birch shrubs, a few willow species, and lots of aquatic long grasses. The long grasses were unique to this site and were only sampled as a low height vegetative environment since they did not exceed a height of 2 feet. Due to the abundance of low lying grasses and shrubs, the majority of my specimens came from the low environment as opposed to high environments such as the tamarack trees.
