Cape Merry
58.78595 -94.20123 (location of gigapan)
It was a sunny day with mild cloud cover and a slight breeze. The cape is a very rocky area and therefore the gigapan was placed in the center of a 5x5m quadrate that was purposely set up where there were no rocks to ensure a greater diversity of vegetation. It will be used to further identify plant species that were missed during an active search. The quadrate was placed next to a path. There is an extremely high abundance of Dryas and late yellow locoweed at the cape.
