This is the area in which I did my second replicate of vegetative sweeping in a bog environment. The Labrador Tea in the area ranged from a height of 1 foot up to almost 3 feet tall; therefore it was included in both low and medium height sweeps. Black spruce trees dominate the bog and ranged in size from 1 foot immature trees all the way to roughly 6 meters high. Small tamarack and few white spruces were also present. I found most of my specimens in low vegetation that was in high abundance and density. You can see the complexity of lichen and moss on the ground allowing for many hiding places for ground insects.
