Wall painting is a part of the St Michael Golden Dome Cathedral complex. On the 17th of August 1937, the St Michael Golden Dome Cathedral , the bell tower and partially other buildings of the complex, were demolished. The mosaics have been removed and partially transferred to the Saint Sophia Cathedral and museums of Russia. Parts of the mosaic complex as well as numerous icons have been irrevocably lost. In 1997-1998 AD the St Michael Golden Dome Cathedral has been reconstructed. The Cathedral was opened in 1998.
