Description

One of the older slate mines in the Blaenau Ffestiniog area of North Wales, much of Diffwys is now flooded. I took this pano while friends braved the freezing waters to explore otherwise inaccessible chambers that hadn't been visited since miners left perhaps 150 years ago. Approx 100 images stacked and stitched. 10-30 second exposures illuminated by painting the cave walls with LED plus hand held flashgun for the people.
