Mirror Lake is an enlargement of the Indian River which connects Lake Muskoka to Lake Rosseau via the locks at Port Carling. The Indian River flows through the Forman Narrows into Mirror Lake, and reaches its mouth at Lake Muskoka off Hanna Point. Periodically the last remaining lake Steamer, the Segwun and her sister ship the Winona pass though Mirror Lake cruising from Gravenhurst to Lake Rosseau.
On a normal day Mirror Lake is busy with hundreds of watercraft traveling between the lakes and its sheltered bays are popular venues for waterskiing and rowing.
The shoreline is almost entirely occupied by cottages and boathouses as you can see from the image above.
