I made this panorama during a Civil War reenactment commemorating the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Lone Jack. Take a closer look at the image using the zoom tool on the left and pan around to see the battlefield and the soldiers. Click on the snapshots to see specific details.

To produce this ultra high resolution image, I made a total of 9 separate panoramas then I chose the best one as a base line. I added the best elements from each of the other 8 and then stitched in details from individual photos. I also eliminated unwanted elements such as power lines and utility poles to produce a realistic looking panorama that takes styling cues based on actual Civil War photographs.

If printed at 300dpi, it would be approximately 28' long x 8' tall with incredible detail.
