This is a panorama I made during a Civil War reenactment commemorating the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Lone Jack. Take a closer look at the image using the zoom tool on the left and pan around to see the battlefield and the soldiers. Click on the snapshots to see specific details.
To produce this ultra high resolution image, I made a total of 9 panoramas of the battle. I chose the best one as a base line, added the best elements from each of the other 8 and then stitched in details from individual photos. I also eliminated unwanted elements such as power lines and utility poles to produce a realistic period panorama based on actual Civil War photographs.
If printed at 300dpi, it would be approximately 28' long x 8' tall with incredible detail.
