Comments on Gigapan: New England fall foliage and an abandoned apple orchard

  2. This is conservation land near Heald Pond in the town of Pepperell in northen Massachusetts. The orchard isn't active, and it shows. The fall foliage color of the maple trees to the right is striking, but is threatened in the long run by climate and other changes.
