- Description

Wilson's Falls is located on the North Branch of the Muskoka River near Bracebridge. A hydro-dam is located next to the falls but it is fairly inconspicuous for some viewpoints. Water is diverted well above the falls, so from the trails next to the river the dam is unobtrusive for the most part. This image was taken during a very dry summer so the falls are almost non-existent. This image was taken from the west side of the river just of Wilson’s falls road. There is a trail along the west bank with several good locations providing views of the falls as it cascades down the rocky steps.
About the image: This Gigapan consists of about 304 individual images. They were taken with a Canon 50D fitted with a Canon EF 400 F5.6 prime lens and processed via ACR and PTGui Pro
