About the subject: This image is of the City of Vancouver seen from Lonsdale quay in North Vancouver. Many of the well-known Vancouver landmarks are visible including Canada Place, the Harbor Centre, the new Vancouver Convention Center and the tallest building in Vancouver, the Shangri-La hotel. While this particular view probably appears in a million photos there is still something about high resolution night shots that gives a different perspective of the city at the end of the day.
About the image: Taken with a Canon 50D, EF 400 F5.6, 2x Extender and processed via Photomatix Pro, PTgui and CS6. 168 x 3 images. It is approximately 3 kilometers from Lonsdale quay to Canada Place. The objective of this particular image was to try to get as close as possible to realistic colors, tones and brightness
