This orchid has a great story. It was damaged when mosquito spray accidentally soaked into the roots. One of the three plants in the arrangement died. The plant was taken back to the growers, Liz and Don O'Toole of E.D. Huntington Orchids + Tropicals www.edhuntington.com
and it was nursed back to health. It took two years for the plant to bloom but it recently won an award from the Orchid Society and as such became the next big print at Kevin G Saunders Photography. This print is 55 x 104 inches and is being offered in a limited edition of six signed prints on canvas.
It is part of a three print series, and the complete bloom is here, gigapan.com/gigapans/113916and the bloom closeup is here: gigapan.com/gigapans/113917.
