Description

Germany: Open Museum www.ferropolis.de Will open in a new tab or window/ for former Coal Mines in East Germany. This is one single excavator unit called Gemini, type 1022 A2s 2240 built from VEB Förderanlagen Köthen in 1958.

The unit is 30m by 125m with a weight of 1980tons. 6-8 drivers were required to keep it running.

Nikon D800 with 300mm/f4. 210 shots JPEG, rendering in AutoPano Giga, post-processing in Photoshop. Corrected version of initial Gigapan with better quality.
