Looking southeast at the beautiful Plains Conservation Center in Aurora, Colorado. Located on the east edge of the Denver Metropolitan area (see map), the center preserves 1100 acres of shortgrass prairie and is a great reminder of what the semiarid High Plains of North America looked like before we got here.
