Moro Rock is a large granite dome in Sequoia National Park that provides an excellent 360 degree vantage point of some beautiful areas of King's Canyon and Sequoia National Parks as well as much of the surrounding Sierra Nevada Range. When the air was more clear, Moro Rock provided a view of the Coastal Range about 100 miles away.
At the altitude of nearly 7,000 feet above sea level, climbing the over 400 steps to the top of Moro Rock can be a challenge.
This image was taken with a handheld Canon 7D and was stitched from 12 photos using PhotoShop CS5.
