This is the Combined Array for Research in Millimeter-wave Astronomy, or CARMA. CARMA is an array of 23 radio telescopes of 10, 6, and 3.5 meter diameters in the White Mountains of California. The telescopes are sensitive to radiation at 1 and 3 millimeter wavelengths, where the sky is dominated by the cool dust of star forming regions.

In this panorama 22 of the telescopes are visible. It was taken during one of the first observations with all telescopes pointed in the same direction and observing the same source.
