Aspen in fall color in the Grand Canyon North Rim by tve

This is a spherical pano, and ooops, looks like gigapan doesn't support that. Too bad.

The Grand Canyon north rim typically has beautiful fall color in late september to early october. The aspen turn golden and maples turn red. The timing varies with the year and also with the altitude. This pano was taken october 7th, 2012, which turned out to be the very tail end of the prime color: still beautiful but lots of leaves already on the ground. The location is along the road to the north rim lodge, a little inside the park boundary.
