- June lake Loop high granite aspen oasis of polychromatic colors aspens blue alpine skies brilliant orange and yellow aspens
- Description
-
Polychrome colors cascade across our retinas when we find a refuge like this. The wrap around nature of the canyon, the sense of enclosure by the valley, shadows, creek run, and granite walls is somewhat approximated by the image. This is along the June lake Loop.
The position of the tree blocking the direct light of the sun prevented lens flare, backlight through the leaves, and skip light. Focus was set at infinity until 2/3 of the down the image where it was allowed to find itself. Lens was as wide as possible, ISO as slow, and exposure set to freeze motion. The exposure was set to avoid saturation of the whites (lower right).
