Overview of exclusive homes in a canyon in the Pacific Palisaides area of Los Angeles, California.
The very hazy backlit scene and late afternoon lighting made for a challenging GigaPan. This was my first GigaPan with my new little 16mp Nikon P510 with a super zoom lens. Still learning the camera, I had the zoom in too tight (around 300mm) making the full photo to have over 400+ images, more than my computer could handle. To put the final image togethor, I had to first split the images making up the scene into 2 groups of 200+ images each and stitch each group seperatly leaving some overlap in each. Then I downsized each so my computer could save them. Then sizing them the same for hight I stiched the two halfs togethor to make the full image you see here which is still quite big at 98 x 371.
