MIami International Airport & Runway 9 at night by Robert Holmes

Miami International Airport & Runway 9 at night. Distances are quite compressed because of the low angle of this picture. The numbers along the side of the runway are 1000 foot markers. This runway is 13,000 feet long and my camera is 1500 feet from the end of the runway. Therefore the lights at the far end of the runway are 14,500 feet or 2.75 miles from the camera. The row of hotels in the background are 8.3 miles from my camera.
This was a very windy night which caused some camera shake in the image. I plan to re-take this Gigapan on a better night.

Equipment:
This gigapan was photographed with a Nikon D-800 Camera using a Nikon 28-300mm lens set to 300mm, mounted on a Gigapan Epic-Pro.
My settings were F:16, Shutter @ 1 sec. & ISO 400 ans shot in RAW so I could make adjustments to the images afterwards. I found that I needed to increase exposure by 1.5 stops. Therefore a better setting would have been F:11 @ 1 sec. and ISO 600.
