- Description

The Trans-Canada Highway #105 climbs over Kelly's Mountain and with a couple of hairpin turns, crosses the Bras d'Or Lakes on the Seal Island Bridge. These are not lakes at all, but fiord-like arms of the Atlantic Ocean. The bridge here has such a high central deck because ocean-going gypsum freighters steam through here regularly.
