This panorama does not open properly in Google Earth, where as this one does: gigapan.com/gigapans/122020
This is a 7x3 hand-held panorama taken without a tripod. The camera that I used was a Nikon D7000, and the attached lens, one of Ken Rockwell's all-time-favorites and mine too, was a Nikkor 28-80 f/3.3-5.6 G lens.

As you can tell, I lucked-out with this experiment. The lens focal length was 28mm.

Currently, I am practicing taking hand-held panos for my trip to Paris where I will meet up with one of the world's foremost GigaPanographers.

    Luck? I think it takes skill to shoot a 7x3 by hand sufficiently accuarately that you can stitch it with Gigapan Stitch.
