Looks like the painterly mode of photomatix. Very nice parts but also parts that are a bit grayish or unnatural like in the sky. Wonder how to correct these. Another question I pose myself often. Should the gigapan not have the same composition as a normal photo, only with much more detail; or should gigapans always be elongated because one leaves out less detailed sky and foreground?

Over the top rendition of an over the top location. Works for me.
