On 10/12/2007 I took my first Panoramic image ever, handheld. This one is it, of Mount Hood's South slopes. Here is an unedited version to display fully on GigaPan. This image was just restitched today for higher resolution. This shot opened a lot of doors for me. I got invited by Eric Hanson to join the xRez Yosemite Extreme Pano Project in 2008, then I wrote an article for the American Alpine Club's Inclined Blog just last year about the xRez Yosemite Project.
Just at the start of this year, after 4 years of effort with Plywerk's help the edited version of this shot now has a home. The stairwell leading to the Raven's Nest above the Mount Hood and Jefferson Banquet rooms at Timberline Lodge's Night Lodge now showcases this in Black and White on Plywerk 3 panels.
