Seitz Roundshot VR 2 head

Nikon D800E / 500 mm F4

architectural, cityscapes

Gigapixel view of Lyon city in France. You can view famous (and UNESCO protected) Old Lyon, Fourvière hill and basilica, old steal tower (a copy of Eiffel tower in Paris).

On the right side, you see Croix Rousse hill, famous for silk and silk workers.

In front of view, St Jean cathedral and courthouse.

And below you, Saône river and monday's market ;)

This shot was taken from Célestins theater. We spent 4 hours fighting against the cold! Brzzz!

We hide 8 items in that view. 5 are linked to Lyon history, and 3 are funny stuff!

Will you find it?

I enjoy returning to this. Last time I sat down with a glass of Viognier from Vienne and had fun just looking around.

Круто и масштабно. НО! Это сделал автоматический штатив и фотик на АВТОМАТЕ!! впечатляет в первую минуту. Как и все остальные работы на этом сайте.

Did you use autofocus, manual focus throughout image, or a set single focus for this high magnification image. If auto or manual focus, what types of challenges did you run into?

This is superbly done, a symphony of an image. Great vision and great work with the tools at hand (D800e does a great job) Looking forward to the four seasons follow ups!

Chewbacca, the Wookiee from Star Wars fame, An Intel logo but with "Gicl Inside", and a Gentleman with a Bowtie. Have not figured out the significance of the last two even with some researching. So there is one more hidden item. Very nice and sharp. The cold I'm sure helped with clarity.

Hi Spherorama, thanks for your feedback :) We used full 36MP RAW for each shot. We filled numerous memory card !

Thanks for the wonderful Panorama. The quality is amazing. Did you use the full 36MP for each shot, or did you process smaller files from RAW? Finding the hidden objects was fun. All the best
