Description

The Perito Moreno glacier is very active and sometimes cuts off the two branches of Lago Argentina.

This image was made at the highest viewing platform. The mountains etc are a bit dark since I based the exposure on the ice. I wanted to make the look of the glacier the main feature of the gigapan.

There are great viewing platforms that look out at the glacier in the park and a long set of walkways that give fine vantage points. I'd estimate there are at least 1.5 miles of walkways.

The GPS placement of this Gigapan is not precise since Google Maps doesn't have too much detail in this part of the world. It should be good to within 500 meters or so.
