During the recent king tides California has seen some impressive coastal action.
In this shot we attempt to capture that action all at once. Paying particular detail to shooting at times of chaos. Each frame was hand selected from 6 and compared to what would be surrounding images to insure the crashing water, surge in sea level, sea life, and overall frothy ness were maintained through the stitching process.
The location, Whalers Cove, was prescouted in advance using Google Earth with 3d enabled. This allowed us to locate the prime location for the shot while taking into consideration the time of day, setting sun, and geographical features having never been there prior.

Yes, it is impressive---I can smell the sea breeze and taste the salty sea water as it crashes onto the coastline.

Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.” ― Bruce Lee
