Exploring two things here. First, when snow falls in still air it caps every solid surface with a white highlight which in turn shades the object underneath. To me the effect seems rather like a perfectly natural 'unsharp mask' - but only on the topside.The second thing is discovering just how much colour there is when one zooms in on this seemingly grey panorama.
