Stereo 3D Mount with two Panas...

Handipan.com App

cityscapes, experimental, virtual reality

A Progress Electric Power Substation in Tarpon Springs, Florida. There is a rookery of wild parakeets that live here, in nests at the top of the towers. This photo was taken from the main office's public parking lot on a Saturday afternoon. It was only seven minutes from when I took my first photo to when I had to explain to a public safety officer that I was taking photos of wild parakeets and was not a terrorist!

This stereo 3D panorama can be viewed in Anaglyph or side by side mode for cross viewing or 3DTV here www.3d-360.com/3d/125705-125757-170-170 Will open in a new tab or window

This was produced with the Handipan.com panoramic photographers assistant app on an iPhone, as well as two cameras mounted vertical side by side on a manual panoramic mount. The Handipan app provides image alignment and click stop functionality for the manual panoramic mount. Here is a photo of my manual setup, www.flickr.com/photos/odysseyexped itions/8573332216 Will open in

The 3d view is neat. Do you use special equipment or do you simply take the gigapan twice. Also: please geocode :-)

The Officer said 'You know how people are these days, so I just have to ask, what are you doing and why are you doing it?' When I told him I was just photographing the birds and their habitat, he encouraged me to have a nice afternoon. No ID was run.

Progress Electric is the company that destroyed the Crystal River Nuclear Plant with a botched repair?

And so, what was the response of the public safety officer?
