A view from South Valley Park, Jefferson County CO showing more outcropings of the Fountain formation as we head south from Red Rocks State Park. Shaped by wind, water and time the red sandstone outcropings of the Fountain Formation appear along the Colorardo front range. Most notably at Red Rocks State park ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_Rocks
