This is Bridge 19 of the SR826-SR836 Interchange Project. The camera angle makes the Gantry appear to be curved, when in fact it is perfectly straight and level. This Bridge will provide Southbound SR826 traffic access to the Eastbound lanes of SR836.

This Bridge is now ready to pour the Closure Joint between the Cantilever Sections on Pier 9 and Pier 8. You will notice that Segment 8-12D has not yet been installed but is positioned at the end of the bridge as a counterweight. Segment 8-12D will not be installed until the Closure Joint is complete. The Gantry's Front Support is positioned right over Pier 8 and the Rear Support has been moved to right over Pier 9 to remove any stress on the Closure Joint. If you look carefully you will see that the Closure Joint has been formed and there are two large & long steel beams over the Closure Joint, spanning & bolted to three segments in either direction to hold the two bridge cantilevers in perfect alignment, while the Closure Joint is poured & cured. To the right you will see Pier 7, still under construction, being made ready for the continuation of Bridge 19. The Launch of Bridge 19 to Pier 7 is expected on or about June 19th.
